A Christian — But NOT SAVED?

A woman and others told Peter when he was trying to hide that he had been with Jesus or even knew Him, “your speech bewrayeth thee” (Matthew 26:72-74). KJV  “Your talk betrays you”.

Peter’s Talk Against Jesus

72And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man!”

73After a little while, those standing nearby came up to Peter. “Surely you are one of them,” they said, “for your accent gives you away.”

74At that he began to curse and swear to them, “I do not know the man!”

And immediately a rooster crowed.
King James Version

At that moment, Satan entered Peter’s heart, but it was by Peter’s fear-filled cooperation that touches every living person. The evil spirit of fear is a tormenting thing! He deceives us to “choose” to disobey Christ!

Jesus had warned Peter, “Satan wants to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you AND WHEN YOU ARE CONVERTED …”.

Peter had left the Lord Jesus in that moment. It manifested in the words out of his mouth own mouth. Jesus said to Peter “and when you are converted” because at the moment Peter used profanuty and denied Jesus, Peter’s fellowship and relationship with Jesus was destroyed. Peter had to be “converted” — yes, all over again. The old Peter was a cussing, profane-mouthed man! After this event, he needed to be brought back into fellowship with Jesus. Jesus proved this truth by the following words when he rose from the dead and called his disciples to come meet with him:

JESUS said …

But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. —  Mark 16:7

Jesus And True Christians Talk Holy

Hebrews 12: 14

14Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Is your communication talk from God or Satan? How have you learned from Christ how HE talks? Are you a Christian — BUT NOT SAVED?  Do you need to be converted all over again like Peter?

Peter had to be converted like the first time he ever believed on Jesus because Peter had left the Lord and you can, too. Your mouth can get you in that kind of trouble. It is amazing the number of Christians who according to the Lord Jesus Christ are not saved — right here in the Boise Treasure Valley, including many pastors who condone and strengthen those “Christians” in their sins. Such pastors, Jesus says, are false ministers, Satan’s ministers (Jesus says) who train you to sin against Jesus Christ, the Holy Bible, and the Holy Spirit. These train you to live an unholy life … but we are instructed by the Lord through our brother and His apostle Paul that true Christians have NOT so learned Christ:

20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness …

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. {to…: or, to edify profitably} 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Iin this passage, Jesus is not referring to the occasional “slip” from holy living — for which you repent on the spot, ask for forgiveness, turn around and do the right thing. Why do you, instantly, repent????

Once you are taught by the Gospel, you will, instantly, repent because it is impossible not to, since Jesus put His spirit inside your spirit at the moment you were born again. Your spirit/conscience will not let you hurt the Holy Spirit of God who dwells inside you without feeling convicted of it. You fear of the Lord’s words to follow holiness without which no person on earth will see the Lord in peace and acceptance at the Judgment Day. You don’t want that to be your fate. That is why we all repent — stop it, turn around, do right toward God and people.

EVERY person is tempted, even Jesus is our Savior because he was tempted every day and every way we are. Instead, Jesus is referring to a Christian who is normally, as part of their regular daily life, doing a particular way of talking (or behaving) that HolySpirit who dwells in all Christians convicts as sin. If one cannot feel Holy Spirit inside you teaching right and wrong treatment of the Lord Jesus — then, Jesus says we are none of His. “None of His” is a plain definition for “A Christian — but NOT SAVED. You would be a Christian in name because you have turned from unbelief about Jesus — but not saved … because you do not FEAR to obey His words and His ways. You think salvation is a gift that takes you to Heaven with Jesus no matter how you live, talk, and behave down here “in Jesus’ name”..

Colossians 3:17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Our talk is how Jesus judges if we have sincerely come out of Satan’s world or, merely, a person who has found moral good in Jesus ways — James Chapter 3.

Our speech says it all. If it does not frighten you that God hears you speaking profanity — which is the native language of Satan and of the kingdom and culture of Hell — or if you can, deliberately, speak it — your heart is not really in Jesus Christ. You are a moralist — a Christian with good ideas about right or wrong, and about moral and immoral, but not SAVED to fear the Lord’s will for you as part of Him.

You still have your own culture in this world that you are PROUD of. It is easy for all of us to be moralists or “Christian — but not saved”. JESUS gave us a sobering reality check and wake up call about this condition in Matthew 7:

Matthew Chapter 7
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Matthew Chapter 7 has the sobering reality of the Holy Spirit that we can think we are saved from the wrath of God and His eternal judgment commencing with Hell because we are telling other people about Jesus Christ. Some call that “discipling” people into Jesus Christ or growing them in Jesus Christ. However, like Jesus warned the Pharisees — if you are a Christian — but NOT SAVED — you are discipling people into Hell along with yourself. Simply repent, live holy — only then try to bring people or disciple people to the real Jesus Christ. The Jesus you have been telling people about is a false JESUS. The real Jesus Christ — that is the Bible Jesus Christ — does not tolerate sin. My sins and your sins is what put Him on that cross!

Iniquity is thoughts in your heart that are against God’s thoughts and ways. We choose our own way of thinking and our own ways = INIQUITY

Unrepented iniquity is hardening your heart against being corrected about your iniquity.

UNREPENTED INIQUITY makes you  “A Christian (by name)  but NOT SAVED”.
