What Is Mercy?
Mercy is any act, and all the total acts that God has been doing to help any person to repent or to help a Christian to repent if there comes a time when that Christian needs to be restored to salvation — James 5:19-20.
Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
What Else Is Mercy?
Mercy is, also, anything and everything that is God’s kindness or compassion toward people … for none of us deserve it.
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
Mark 5:1-20
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
