You may be thinking “what does that mean”?

Christians Must Not Obsess on Sights and Talk

It means that only what the Spirit of God is doing is real. Don’t OBSESS on what you see in the world around you. Don’t LIVE IN the talk of people. Focus upon the truth that God is doing His own thing and is not loyal to anybody’s preferences — in life, in politics, in church. Your duty and mine … and our safety … is to make sure we maintain union with what Holy Spirit is doing and saying from Lord Jesus! Obsess on praise to the Lord for what He does to save your soul. Obsess on what Jesus is talking (commanding, instructing, exhorting, reproving, rebuking) … and the topics of interest to Him which He is talking about.

Colossians Chapter 3

1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Why Christians Must Not Obsess On Sights and Talk

JESUS SAID:

25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Protect your heart and mind. Keep your mind on Jesus. Look after the things He has already said in His written words — The New Testament. Don’t allow Satan to shake your mind by the things your flesh eyes see. The evil Satan is doing will increase and you will not be able to handle the things we are seeing in our world. It’s SURVIVAL! Everything is spiritual.

Of our generation in churches, everybody wants to write a book. Some write to help you. Others write to gain power over your mind for accompanying them in their ideas and opinions about spiritual things or world evnts. DANGER! Some don’t write at all, but have “ghost writers” to keep the sales money flowing. Either way, protect your heart and mind. Keep your true reading in the Gospels and authority of the Epistles! Jesus has supplied all you need for your growth in His wisdom and understanding about world events. Therefore, you won’t need a bunch of books by man, often men and women who were never called or sent by Jesus — infiltrating into your mind with their experiences. It is amazing how the scriptures testify that our brethren (the first Christians) spent their time hungering and thirsting to hear what the apostles were saying from the Lord. Today, Christians keep asking ” have you read (_whoever’s) book? The books you should be trending are what a genuine apostle, prophet, evangelist or pastors and teaching elders/deacons have heard the Lord command them to write (just like the first preachers wrote only as commanded by the Lord).

Acts 2:42 

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Maintain Unity

With The Lord — Not Man

Next, Holy Spirit entrusted these words in 2011 to protect Christians’  “relationship” with our Lord Jesus Christ:

“If it’s not JESUS way, then

someway, the Devil is in it”.

You ask “what did He mean by that”?

He means that if your will is not ALL about Jesus … HIS wants and his perspectives … then, someway, it is about YOU (or ME) … our wants and our proud thoughts about things, especially religion things. Then, Satan is sneaking his thoughts and methods into some of our perspectives. Other thoughts and methods we have are purely from the Lord! Hold fast to the thoughts and methods that prove to be straight from the Lord and dump the ones that prove out to be sneaked into our well-meaning hearts of love for our Saviour by the Devil (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21).

19Quench not the Spirit. 20Despise not prophesyings. 21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22Abstain from all appearance of evil.

23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Particularly in churches — we make a lot of activities that are flesh-born, flesh-driven, and propsered by flesh momentum so we feel purposeful or fulfilled that we are doing things for Christ. However, the activity is not detected as flesh-driven because it is powered by “the spirit of the world” that we live in — so it seems logical, reasonable, practical, even orderly.

JOHN 3:6

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

JOHN 6:63

60Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

God is only committed to what He is doing for his Son, the Bible Jesus Christ and for Jesus’ words.  Whatever has the ultimate effect of changing Jesus’ words to contradict Himself, no matter how the activity appears good right now — the Devil is in it. Maintain your union with what the Father, the Son-JESUS, and the Holy Spirit of God (the Spirit of Truth) is doing and saying. Matthew 5:1-12  is a solid foundation for accomplishing this.

Our fate in life, and our happiness or misery in this life, depends totally upon how we choose to fit into God’s commitment to Jesus Christ. He has this right — as our Creator.
