Hearing God In Turbulent Times
The Foundation of Hearing God Is Scripture
ONLY THROUGH HIS WRITTEN WORD the Holy Scriptures (The Holy Bible) does God speak to all Christians. Scripture is the first and foundation way that Jesus speaks to his people.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
You are not required to receive or follow, in your church or your household or any other environment, the rantings of persons who will not subject themselves to Scripture. You must not, or you betray the Lord and begin to destroy your own self!
Observe God’s attitude about those of us who refuse to subject our knowledge or spiritual experiences to the Written Word of God compared to those who fight off temptation to depart from “what is written.”
1 Timothy 6:3-5
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
“Hearing God” At Higher Levels: Baptism In The Holy Spirit
Jesus speaks through the written Holy Scriptures to every Christian, but “hearing God” at higher levels requires the miracle experience — being Baptized in the Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ, Himself. It is evidenced always by the initial miracle of other tongues (language of the Holy Ghost).
Jesus proves by the initial miracle evidence of speaking in other tongues (spiritual languages as the Holy Spirit gives the utterance) that He has done this invisible Immersion to you. This special IMMERSION introduces a Christian brother or sister into a regular life of miracles in the Holy Ghost and “regular” hearing God in the miracle realm for the loving protection of others. It is not given for you to regard yourself as a “star” of spiritual powers, craving attention and personal glory to yourself. The Holy Ghost testifies of Jesus — NOT YOU.
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
The gift that every Christian should be seeking and anticipating is that day when Jesus Christ, invisibly, lays His hands on you and immerses you in miracle powers from Himself that come upon you through His Spirit.
No human being can grant or carry out baptizing you in the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a privilege that Jesus reserves for himself to “usher” the non-doubting Christian into a higher level of “hearing God” and the realm of miracles.
Again, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a privilege that Jesus reserves for himself to “usher” the non-doubting Christian into a higher level of “hearing God” and regular manifestations of His miracle power!
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit Must Be Censured
Not every experience in every so-called church is the pure Baptism by Jesus in the Holy Spirit. Christians have the right to “censure your Baptism and judge if it really was Jesus’ baptism as taught in the written Word of God, the Holy Scriptures”.
Those who are worshiping a false, Imposter Jesus CANNOT know the Holy Spirit — the real JESUS CHRIST said so in John 14:15-17. Such religious persons and clergy do preach, write about, and experience a demon, posing as holy spirit.
His love requires me to tell you this.
God speaks to “all” Christians, first, through his Holy Scriptures. Therefore, those Christians who are “hearing God” at a higher level through being baptized in the Holy Spirit must censure what they are hearing, seeing, feeling, experiencing in the invisible spirit realm through the “filter” of Holy Scripture, particularly the New Testament of Jesus, Himself.
The goal of the Holy Spirit’s power gifts given to Christians is to strengthen and develop other Christians, and the churches, in the faith of Jesus Christ through the solid ground of the Holy Scriptures. So, contending against Scripture proves we are seeking attention and glory to come to ourselves — not seeking love for the church and other Christians, nor the Name of Jesus Christ. More important — it proves that the spirit moving a person is NOT the HOLY Spirit from Jesus Christ.
It is the duty of every Christian to censure his or her spiritual experiences against the non-changing rock of the Holy Words of God in Scripture! The moment you are so enamored with your spiritual experience that you are unwilling to prove it –test it through Holy Scripture — then you have become satanic deceived and preoccupied with your own desire for vainglory. The Scriptures prove that you have become this kind of dangerous person in 1 Timothy 6:3-5.
The Christian who has become the kind of man or woman described in 1 Timothy 6:3-5 must not be trusted by other Christians that are seeking the same kind of life with Jesus that the first Christians had! Yes, such a person will always find those Christians willing to hang with them in their delusion (the blind lead the blind, the world loves its own, the world hates the righteous, evil communications corrupt good manners). Willingness to accommodate a Christian brother or sister who has become 1 Timothy 6:3-5 leads to idol worship of “church growth” agendas and denominational loyalty instead of loyalty to Christ.
Accommodating scripturally contentious brethren also leads to creating cults around that person’s mistaken spiritual experience with Jesus, God, or an angel. EVERY cult began this way.
Such a person will always be able to find a pastor or church fellowship willing to accept them and tell them they just need spiritual growth and maturity. The Bible says that kind of person does not need spiritual maturity, they need to be dismissed from your fellowship — “from such withdraw”! 1 Timothy 6:5!
Scripture Woes For Pastors Who Don’t Censure
Scripture reveals woe comes to the pastor who does not know the difference between someone growing in Christ and a rebel that shrewdly and manipulatively is using “spiritual growth” as an excuse for their outright disobedience to the written Word of God and defiance of Jesus Christ — the Head of every church!
Scripture reveals woe comes to the pastor who helps satan destroy a soul by welcoming and enabling them to continue their presence among the rest of the brethren when they do repeated acts of harm to others. Jesus will deal with such a pastor in His own time and on His own terms. Such Pastors are the reason for things like what happened in the Catholic organization. There were plenty cries for help to those in charge, but who cared! They had to keep their outward appearance growing strong! This can happen to any of pastor, so I’m not judging … just making it plain so I don’t deceive myself.
Scripture reveals woe comes to the pastor when a member has been reported regularly committing against-God behaviors, but the pastor is so bent on maintaining attendance, keeping church growth numbers up, protecting appearance … and money … that the pastor excuses the member’s behavior as “they need compassion and patience to grow”. That is called “healing the sins of God’s people lightly” — like putting a small bandage on an bleeding artery! God hates it! It’s like giving a child a light tap on the back of the hand for hitting their brother or sister with a rock!
How Denomination Loyalty Thwarts Hearing God
The moment you are so enamored with your spiritual experience that you are unwilling to prove it (test it through Scripture) for protecting yourself and for the loving protection of your other Christian brethren, you have become satanic deceived.
At that point, you must not be trusted by other Christians seeking the same kind of life with Jesus that the first Christians had! Yes, you will always find those Christians willing to hang with you in your delusion — which leads to “denominationalism” and cults.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the gift that Jesus, specifically, came to bring to earth, promised by the Father. It redeems His believing followers back to the original condition of fellowshipping with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit that Jesus had when here.
NOTHING of your Christian experience will replace the intimacy of fellowship in the powers of the Holy Ghost which you were created for. You must not deprive yourself by doubting, rejecting, or opposing this testimony from Jesus Christ, himself, as given throughout the New Testament, and starting in the Old Testament prophecy of Joel. Both Old and New Testament confirm one another.
When a Christian chooses to doubt, reject, or oppose the teachings of the Lord, while continuing in church attendance and ceremony, weekly, he or she becomes “seared” in their conscience, hardened in their hearts to the Word, and dangerously deceived — meaning dangerous to the spiritual health of other Christians listening to them. They can also become a “denominationalist”.
A denominationalist chooses partials of the Holy Scriptures for finding other Christians to join to, but “do not continue to seek” the fullness of the Gospel that Jesus preached. Paul said, “my conscience is clear for during the space of three years, I have ‘fully’ preached the Gospel to you”.
A loyal denominationalist is content with what their religious group has settled on in part EVEN IF IT IGNORES SCRIPTURE.
Every Christian clings to the partial understandings that he or she has, and seeks fellowship with other Christians in the same who are always learning! This is normal spiritual growth and maturity. There is nothing wrong with that. The problem with denominationalism is not continuing to seek the truth, not continuing to learn the full Gospel that Jesus preached. John 8:31
As a result, in those partial areas where Jesus’ words are rejected, the spiritual life of that Pastor or Christian brother or sister becomes dry. If (for example) the Lord’s testimony that he is committed to heal you is doubted — you become a Christian who, readily, accepts the powers of satan coming against your body and will chalk it up to “that’s just the way it is”. This lower level of Christian living creates a standard that causes those of that group to no longer expect Jesus to show up in their life or church meetings with miracles for them. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the inital miracle of speaking in languages of the Holy Spirit will put and end to “dry” Christian living.
Expect Envy, Discrediting, Opposition To You Hearing God
Due to the “dry” living of those who have rejected the Baptism in the Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ — those Christians will envy, mock, riducule or seek to discredit your regular “hearing God” that comes automatic with the precious experience of Jesus baptizing you in the Holy Spirit.
You will hear “dry” Christians attempt to “slight” you or draw suspicion that you are outside the Bible with their statements like: “I’ve never heard anybody say that God talks to them all the time, like you say.” This is only because God does NOT talk to them as He talks to you. Jesus cannot talk to them like he talks to you because they have doubted, rejected, or opposed Him in this promise. He wants to, just as he talked “regular” with Adam and Eve before the fall. Thanks be to God, the Father, Jesus has come and redeemed all that! However, He will not override your holy, sacred, free-will to choose. If you don’t want it, He won’t give it.
Why not cease from rejecting the truth about your doubts and rejections or deceptions, right now?! Cease! And call upon the name of Jesus Christ, asking Him to forgive you, wash it ALL out of you, and be your Lord, again. Then, decide to commit to Him ALL your “hearing God” by humbling yourself to the correction and guidance of the Holy Scriptures.
