Jesus’ new protection move prepares hearts for intimacy with Him and with one another. Home churches (aka House churches) as Jesus left it to us, is what we need to return churches to.
Jesus, himself, always met with disciples in private places like Lazarus’ house and the Garden at Gethsemene. Everyone — the general public — was NOT welcome to know the place and time and to attend the Christian meetings. That is why it took Judas to betray Jesus for people to be able to find where He and His worshipers were.
In Jesus’ new protection move, He uses home church. We learn that church is a family made by God. We learn the clean and holy intimacy of relationships and the accountability that Jesus established in house church settings. JESUS NEVER collected and erected buildings to worship in nor did He assign followers to do so. It is a man-made practice of our time which we have all becone addicted to, but it is accompanied by built-in perversions from Jesus’ ways — such as an audience mentality — which we cannot see slowly happening to us.
Commandment was given by the Lord Jesus Christ in laying the foundation for Truth Seekers of Jesus Christ™ |Truth Seekers Church to NEVER take money collections for erecting a commercial building, parking lots, and such. Instead, meet as a little family in multiple homes all over the cities. Home-church, not as an extension of building worship, but as the ground structure that we live by, is His will. This is part of a NEW move — Jesus has answers for the rest of us who still have worship buildings.
In Acts, Paul and others preached in the Jewish temples because temples already existed. For Jesus, the meeting place for disciples was alway a private and intimate location like Peter’s house, Lydia’s house, Mary’s house etc..
